Titanium (TC4)

TC4 (titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V) is an extremely versatile material and is widely used in the medical field because of its excellent biocompatibility. Titanium alloy 3D printing is ideal for manufacturing medical implants because the technology can design parts into hollow structures and create complex surface geometries (such as porous structures) that provide anchor points for bone and tissue growth. In addition, TC4 has excellent specific strength (strength-to-weight ratio) and corrosion resistance, which also makes it one of the preferred materials in the aerospace industry.
